Far-Western Nepalese Society Texas (FWNST) is a non-profit organization registered in the state of Texas, USA in 2016 to promote the culture, religion and custom of the Far-Western region of Nepal in the U.S. It further renders charitable and educational activities in the USA and Nepal.
Every year, a large number of Far Western Nepalese people get into USA in pursuit of higher education, business and other kind of opportunities. FWNST is place where we come together to share our pride and enjoy the culture.
FWNST performs various programs to educate and help community people who may be in various needs and support. It provides platform to share information, knowledge and ideas, which are beneficial to the community as a whole.
FWNST has been conducting lot of activities in the community to promote Far-Western cultural heritage among all generations of community people. It celebrates annually Gaura Parva, Holi, Dashain, Tihar etc. with the presence of Americans, friends of Nepal and Nepalese community in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
FWNST takes lead to extend support to the people in dire financial or other needs during the natural disaster and major health crisis i.e. Corona Virus pandemic, earthquake, floods etc.
FWNST has been conducting its activities with the close collaboration of local Nepalese and other non-profit organizations including Nepalese Society Texas, Nepalese Cultural and Spiritual Center (NCSC), Nepalese American Chamber of Commerce Dallas, Greater Austin Nepalese Society (GANS), Gaura Samaj Wisconsin, Far-West Nepalese Society, NY etc.
